Changelog

Small improvements

The recent focus was on small, but important, improvements.

  • Improved article deduplication: If multiple sources publish the same URL, they're combined into one item in Lighthouse. This process now correctly handles tracking parameters. Before, if tracking params were present, it would not deduplicate. Now it removes the tracking params and deduplicates based on the cleaned URL.
  • Improved summary generation: Summaries are now more concise, and an issue that for some items it would generate a one-word nonsensical summary is fixed.
  • Fixed reading view: An issue where for some articles it would show the content was bot protected, while in reality it wasn't, was fixed.
  • UX improvements: Changes to items now happen instantaneously in multiple parts of the application (e.g. pausing content subscriptions).
  • Mobile navigation: On small screens, there is now a top navigation bar that ensures the button text can always be displayed, and a navigation button to the left navigation menu and right aside are always visible.
  • Improved favicon parsing: Some issues with favicon parsing were fixed, which means icons for web items now show up more consistently.
  • Improved redirect resolving: Some URLs published in feeds redirect to other URLs. These redirects are automatically resolved in Lighthouse, and that's now more consistent.
